Police soldiers target youths for bomb blast

Activist youths in nearby villages are being targeted by local junta authorities for arrest following the bomb explosion after a list of names were found near the explosion site.

Local police and soldiers entered homes of some youths home in Wet tae and Kyaik ywe village Mudon township.

"The authorities entered the homes last night to interrogate youths in our village. But the youths were not at home," a villager from Wet tae said.

The authorities entered the home of at least two youths and took all the list of youths who are friendly with the Wet tae village youth.

Local people believe the youth were not involved in the blast and most of the youth are part of a community movement, such as holding National Day, and Mon Literature and Culture Training.

Following the local authorities attempt to arrest the youth, a majority of youth are fleeing.
